Chico Corps Prepares to Break Ground on New Community Center

Jan 17, 2018 | by SNW

On January 19th, The Salvation Army Chico Corps will break ground on their new Community Center. This new 18,700-square foot building will allow the Corps to offer more education programs and community service opportunities. It will include a regulation size basketball court, a multipurpose room and 11 rooms for youth programs.

Currently, the Chico Corps provides assistance to residents seeking food, rental and utility assistance, and other social service programs. During construction, the Corp will continue to offer these services at a temporary location until the new building is completed.

There is no doubt that the Community Center will bring many blessings to the Chico community!
