We love our volunteers.
During those crucial weeks when the Santa Rosa and Napa fires were burning, thousands of volunteers performed many thousands of hours of service throughout seven counties. Many of those who stepped up had lost their own homes in the fires. But they were there alongside us, serving in every way they could.
When the Carr and Mendocino Complex fires started, our volunteers sprung into action again.
In both cases, some were seasoned Salvation Army volunteers with disaster relief training, and some were simply community members who wanted to help.
Our volunteers are critical partners in helping us reach the most people in their time of need. The Salvation Army gives its heartfelt thanks to every person who gave their time, energy and heart for this effort.
